Intelligent Inbox Monitoring Without the Privacy Trade-Off
Fumiko watches your inboxes in the background across Gmail, Outlook, and Universal IMAP. Using lightweight on-device AI models, she triages interview invites, receipts, and urgent notices without cloud subscriptions, telemetry, or passwords leaving your computer.
Built for Privacy, Speed, and Focus
Designed so you never have to obsessively refresh your inboxes again.
100% On-Device AI
Includes a bundled, plug-and-play sidecar engine that downloads quantized GGUF models directly inside the app. If you already use Ollama, Fumiko supports that with a single toggle too. Zero cloud AI reading your inbox.
Smart Two-Tier Scanning
A lightweight 1B to 3B model scans sender, subject, and snippet preview first (Tier 1). Only ambiguous emails trigger a deeper body inspection (Tier 2), strictly capping token context to keep your PC fast.
The Findings Board
Instead of digging through promotions and newsletters, rule-matching emails get pinned to an actionable triage board with confidence scoring and quick actions to clear or move to trash.
Broad Mailbox Support
Connect personal Microsoft accounts with one-click OAuth, or connect standard IMAP mailboxes (Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail, or self-hosted) using secure App Passwords.
Zero Secrets in SQLite
Passwords and OAuth refresh tokens live exclusively in your operating system's native credential store (Windows Credential Manager, Apple Keychain, or Linux Secret Service).
Sandboxed & Safe Viewing
Untrusted HTML email markup is sanitized through Ammonia and rendered inside an isolated sandboxed iframe. External links are trapped and routed safely to your system's default browser.
How Fumiko Works
A simple three-step loop that runs entirely on your machine.
Link Your Mailboxes
Connect personal Microsoft accounts with 1-click OAuth, or connect Gmail, iCloud, Fastmail, and Yahoo via secure IMAP App Passwords.
Define Watch Criteria
Create natural language rules like "Interviews, recruiter outreach, and screening requests", "Urgent client questions", or "Invoices & Receipts".
Review Pinned Findings
Fumiko monitors your inboxes in the background, runs on-device inference, and highlights confirmed matches with confidence ratings directly on your Findings board.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about privacy, performance, and compatibility.
Do I need to install Ollama or configure a terminal?
No! Fumiko includes a Built-in Zero-Setup engine. You can download verified models (such as Llama 3.2 1B or Qwen 2.5 1.5B) directly inside the app's settings with a single click. If you already have Ollama installed, you can toggle to it anytime.
Do I need an expensive GPU or paid AI subscription?
Not at all. Fumiko uses compact, quantized 1B to 3B models. Inferences run smoothly on consumer laptop CPUs or integrated graphics with context windows strictly capped at 2,048 tokens to prevent memory lag. Though it is highly recommended to have a dedicated GPU for classification.
Which email providers can I connect?
Fumiko supports personal Microsoft accounts (@outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, or @msn.com) with one-click OAuth, and universal IMAP providers (Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail, or self-hosted servers) using secure App Passwords. Power users can also connect Gmail via custom Google Cloud OAuth credentials.
Why does Gmail OAuth require setting up developer keys?
Google requires third-party corporate verification, third-party security audits, and D-U-N-S enterprise registration before granting public OAuth mailbox reading access. Because Fumiko is an independent open-source project, providing your own free Google Cloud Client ID (a 2-minute setup) bypasses these corporate restrictions while keeping 100% ownership in your hands. Alternatively, you can connect Gmail instantly via IMAP App Passwords (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)!
Does anyone receive my email contents or AI prompts?
Never. Fumiko communicates strictly with your email providers to fetch messages. All AI model inference runs on local loopback (127.0.0.1). No email text, headers, or prompts ever leave your machine.
